Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of The HRBP Lab website at thehrbplab.ai and any products or services purchased through it. By accessing the site or purchasing a product, you agree to these terms.

The HRBP Lab is operated by Josh Wise, an independent practitioner and content creator. This is a sole-proprietor business, not affiliated with any employer or corporation.

Products & Delivery

The HRBP Lab sells digital products, including prompt libraries, frameworks, and templates delivered as PDF files, Notion templates, or downloadable documents.

Digital delivery

All products are delivered digitally upon successful payment via Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor. You'll receive access instructions by email immediately after purchase. If you don't receive your download within 15 minutes, please contact us.

Consulting services

Strategy sessions are booked via Calendly and invoiced separately. Services are provided remotely. Session recordings, if any, are for your personal use only.

Newsletter subscription

The HRBP Lab newsletter is free to subscribe. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. We use Buttondown to deliver the newsletter.

Refunds

Because all products are digital and delivered immediately upon purchase, we generally do not offer refunds. However, we're human — if something went genuinely wrong with your order, reach out within 7 days and we'll make it right.

For consulting sessions: cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time will be fully refunded. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the session fee.

To request a refund or report an issue, email [email protected] within 7 days of purchase.

Intellectual Property

All content on The HRBP Lab — including written content, prompts, frameworks, templates, and brand assets — is original work created by Josh Wise and remains his property.

What you can do

When you purchase a product, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own professional work. You may adapt prompts and frameworks for your own use.

What you can't do

You may not resell, redistribute, republish, or repackage any product or content from The HRBP Lab — in whole or in part — without written permission. Do not pass off HRBP Lab content as your own in public-facing work.

The content on The HRBP Lab reflects Josh Wise's personal experience and perspective as an HR practitioner. It is not legal, financial, or HR-compliance advice. Results from using prompts or frameworks will vary depending on your context, tools, and how you apply them.

The HRBP Lab makes no guarantees about specific outcomes from its products or consulting services.

Use of AI tools discussed on this site is subject to the terms of those tools' respective providers (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI). Always review AI-generated output before using it professionally.

Data We Collect

When you subscribe to the newsletter

We collect your email address via Buttondown. We use it only to send The HRBP Lab newsletter. You can unsubscribe anytime. Buttondown's privacy policy applies to how they store and process your data: buttondown.com/privacy.

When you purchase a product

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who collects your name, email, and payment information. The HRBP Lab receives your email and order details to fulfill your purchase. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy applies to payment processing: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

When you visit the website

The HRBP Lab website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect anonymized access logs (IP addresses, browser type, page views) as part of their standard infrastructure. We do not use third-party analytics trackers or advertising pixels on this site.

When you book a consulting session

Consulting sessions are booked through Calendly, which collects your name, email, and scheduling preferences. Calendly's privacy policy applies: calendly.com/privacy.

Cookies

This website does not use first-party cookies for tracking or advertising. Third-party services (Lemon Squeezy, Buttondown, Calendly) may set their own cookies subject to their respective policies.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by The HRBP Lab. To make a request, email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.

Data retention

Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Purchase records are retained for tax and accounting purposes as required by law. Consulting session information is retained for up to two years.

Children's privacy

The HRBP Lab is intended for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll note the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
